Ballers Club turns your compatible Garmin watch into a football tracker. Record a match or training session on your watch, then review your distance, speed, sprints and heart rate in the Ballers Club iPhone app. Some detailed analysis features, including heatmaps, require Ballers Pro.
What you need
- A Garmin watch supported by the Ballers Club Connect IQ app. Check the Compatible Devices list in the Connect IQ Store before installing.
- Garmin Connect on your phone, paired with your watch.
- The Ballers Club iPhone app, iOS 17 or later, and a Ballers Club account.
Android support is coming soon. Apple Watch recordings require an iPhone; this guide covers Garmin recording and iPhone review.
1. Install the watch app
Open the Ballers Club listing in Connect IQ and install it on your compatible Garmin watch. Sync the watch with Garmin Connect so the app is available on the watch.
2. Pair Ballers Club
Sign in to Ballers Club on your iPhone. In the watch setup, select Garmin. Open Ballers Club on the watch and enter its pairing code in the phone app. This links recordings to your Ballers Club account.
3. Record your football session
Open Ballers Club on your watch before playing and start a game. For location-based analysis, record outdoors with a clear GPS signal. Mark half time if you are playing two halves, then finish and save the session after the game.
Check the rules of your competition and follow the referee’s instructions before wearing a watch during a match. Watch use is not permitted in every playing environment.
4. Sync and review your match
Bring the watch near your phone and let Garmin Connect sync. Open Ballers Club to review the imported session. Games also save to Garmin Connect as football activities. If you played without your phone, saved games wait on the watch and can sync when the connection is available again.
What can you learn from the recording?
Review your physical workload: distance, speed, sprint count and heart rate. With the relevant Ballers Pro features and usable location data, explore pitch coverage and compare your sessions. These measurements describe movement and effort; they do not automatically measure passing quality, ball touches or overall football ability.
If a session does not appear
- Confirm the watch is paired to the same Ballers Club account you are viewing.
- Check the recording was finished and saved in the Ballers Club watch app.
- Bring the watch and phone together, check their connection and allow Garmin Connect to sync.
- Reopen Ballers Club and check your session history. Contact support before deleting the app or removing a recording you need help recovering.
Can Garmin track indoor football?
Indoor GPS can be unavailable or inaccurate. Do not rely on indoor recordings for pitch heatmaps, distance or sprint analysis that depends on location. The quality and availability of measurements depend on your device and recording conditions.
